Hey, I’m Dr. Ally and this is my story.

Becoming a mother was the most eye-opening, magical, and challenging experience of my life thus far.

I had all the ‘textbook tools’ on how to help moms from my 8 years of post-secondary education, but I had NO IDEA how to really support moms until I became one.

The process of becoming a mom opened my eyes to the gaps in our healthcare system for moms, and I am determined to be part of filling that gap so mothers can really enjoy themselves in motherhood.

Using a combination of clinical and personal experience, I help moms develop the habits they need to love motherhood.

Though I completed a 4 year undergraduate degree in Kinesiology, and a 4 year Naturopathic medical program, NOTHING prepared me to support moms more than becoming a mom myself.

I saw the gap in care after we are ‘discharged’ from care 6 weeks after having our baby (like who is ready for that?!) and the lack of focus on the mom in the first year postpartum.

I saw how hard moms were trying to be ‘the perfect mom’, getting gold stars for constantly putting their needs last. I saw too many moms being told '‘you’re a mom of course you’re tired!”, yet something was actually wrong with their labs and health.

I knew something had to change.

So, I focused my practice and life on supporting moms and I haven’t looked back. I’m honored to have supported hundreds of moms and plan to support hundreds more!

A few fun facts about me

01

My boys are my why, and my everything.

They are the reason I am so dang passionate about helping moms show up as who they want to be during motherhood.

I love coffee. And french fries. Like a lot.

Let’s just clear that one up right away. I’m not the kind of Naturopathic doctor who is going to take away all of your favourite fun foods.

My husband and I are both ND’s and we’re busy creating our dream life.

We’ve been together since I was 18, we’ve been through a lot together, and we’re busy creating our dream life while we support other parents to do the same.

I used to be a dancer.

And while I still love a good dance class (hello Dance Fit Cardio!), most of the dancing in my life is dancing in the kitchen with my boys.
